The New ‘Game Of Thrones’ Opening Credits Show Where The White Walkers Are

You know what they say...the devil's in the details!

Season 8 of everyone’s favourite fantasy series, Game Of Thrones, has finally arrived, and the premiere did not hold back! This may be the shortest season in the show’s history, but it has also been teased to be the most epic and the most emotional. This isn’t a surprise, of course. The Long Night is coming, the army of the dead, AKA, the White Walkers have broken down the wall and are heading South. And they will kill everything in their path, adding to their army as they go. Luckily for us, if we look close enough, the opening credits tell us exactly where the Walkers are!

For the first time in Thrones history, the show has changed the look of their opening credits. We are no longer just overlooking the castles, but diving straight into them. It truly is a beautiful sight. But if you look closely, there’s actually a hint at where the White Walkers are.

The first place the opening sequence takes us to is where Eastwatch by the Sea used to stand, before the Night King and his new dragon tore it to the ground. And as we fly over it, the tiles that make up the ground start to flip over. What was a snowy white now turns an icy blue. These tiles continue flipping as we reach the Last Hearth, surrounding it and moving just slightly past. It is confirmed at the end of the episode that the Walkers have passed through the Last Hearth. This proves that those icy blue tiles do, in fact, represent the army of the dead. With this knowledge, from here on out, we could discern exactly where the Walkers are, and how close they are to Winterfell! Game Of Thrones has always been a sucker for detail. We’re glad to see that Season 8 is no exception.
