Brie Larson And Tessa Thompson Ship Their Characters Captain Marvel And Valkyrie

When the Avengers: Endgame trailer dropped last week and broke the internet, hundreds of fan theories started popping up across the web. From how Thanos will ultimately be defeated to who is going subatomic, fans analyzed every second of that trailer right until the end. So, when Carol Danvers, AKA Captain Marvel, met Thor, AKA the God of Thunder, it didn’t take long for a ship to form. Yes, many Marvel fans are rooting for Carol and Thor to get together. But as for us here at Fiction’s Mistress? We prefer Captain Marvel and Valkyrie. And the actors do too!

This past Sunday, Bev Johnson, also known on Twitter as @beverlylove , shared a positively adorable drawing of Captain Marvel taking flight, holding Valkyrie tightly in her arms. The two smile and stare lovingly into each other’s eyes. Take a look.

Yeah, we ship this now. And we’re not the only ones!

Captain Marvel herself, Brie Larson, retweeted the fan art with the caption ‘we cute’. And Tessa Thompson agrees! Is this a relationship we could see in the MCU? Maybe! Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios has said that the MCU will expand and grow in diversity and representation. These characters are incredibly beloved, and we could see them getting on wonderfully! Not just as friends, but romantically, as well! We’re staying optimistic!

Avengers: Endgame Hits Theaters April 26.
