NBC is adding some diversity to its late-night lineup, and we could not be more thrilled! That’s right! YouTube star/comedian/vlogger Lilly Singh is getting her own Late-Night show, joining Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers in the NBC Late Night family!
Singh, also known as Superwoman on YouTube, made the exciting announcement on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon on Thursday night, revealing that the show will be called A Little Late With Lilly Singh. And her fans should be excited, because it’s going to be a lot like her channel! As major fans of both her main and daily vlog channel, our guess would be that her Late Night show will be a combination of the two.
Singh is known for being one of the hardest working people in the YouTube community, as on top of all of this, she also just started her own production company! But she’s also known for her incredibly positive attitude and uniquely hilarious spirit. She will undoubtedly be such a refreshing addition to Late Night TV. Oh, and did we mention the fact that she will be the first woman of color to host her own late night show on a major American network!? Indian-Canadian Lilly Singh could not be more excited to join the Late Night family, but what was even more heartwarming to see is her gratitude for all of the women in the industry who have paved the way for her and future female hosts. We got major goosebumps watching the interview.
We here at Fiction’s Mistress have been watching Singh’s vlogs and videos for years now, and what we love most about her is that she is so much more than comedic. She’s wonderfully inspiring, and will be a great addition to Late Night TV. A Little Late With Lilly Singh will take over Last Call With Carson Daly’s spot, when Daly moves on to focus on other projects. We can’t wait to see what Singh does with her new show!
