Trailer Watch: Life Imitates Art In The Thrilling First Trailer For ‘Velvet Buzzsaw’

From the bizarre concept to the star-studded cast, you'll definitely want to add this to your list.

“You ever notice anything about this painting? If you look at it long enough…it moves.”

On Thursday, January 10th, Netflix released a trailer for their latest horror endeavor titled Velvet Buzzsaw. The film, which features a star-studded cast of Jake Gyllenhaal, John Malkovich, Natalia Dyer, and more, can be summed up by this simple line in the trailer, quoted above. The works of this particular artist come to life in the most literal sense. And the result is nothing short of horrifying.

When the mesmerizing artwork of a dead man is found, it is displayed in an art gallery and instantly becomes overwhelmingly popular. But the work is even darker than it appears. There is something supernatural that lurks beneath the surface, and not only the people, but the things in the paintings can come alive. No wonder the artist asked for his art to be destroyed. And many people will pay for not honoring his wishes.

This new thriller from our favourite streaming platform looks positively mind-bending, and with Jake Gyllenhaal at the forefront, we truly can’t wait to see the result! This is one you don’t want to miss.
