Emma Watson Shares First Cast Photo From ‘Little Women’

Watson stars alongside Saoirse Ronan, Timothée Chalamet, Florence Pugh, and Eliza Scanlen in the Greta Gerwig directed film.

Greta Gerwig, the genius writer and director behind the award-winning Lady Bird is back at it again with a re-imagining of Louisa May Alcott’s classic story, Little Women. A story about four sisters facing the hardships of growing up after the Civil War, the strength of their sisterhood translates seamlessly even in today’s time. And the star-studded cast is nothing to bat an eye at.

With Gerwig both writing and directing the film, she reunited two of her Lady Bird cast members, Saoirse Ronan and Timothée Chalamet, as Jo and Laurie, respectively. The film also stars Florence Pugh, who you may recognize Netflix’s Outlaw King, as Amy March, Eliza Scanlen, who you may recognize from HBO’s Sharp Objects, as Beth March, and Emma Watson (who needs no introduction) as Meg March. And thanks to Watson, we have our first set photo, and it is just as adorable and heartwarming as her caption!

If the cast is any indication, this film is definitely one we can expect to hear about come awards season.
