‘Once Upon A Deadpool’: Ryan Reynolds And Fred Savage Singing Nickelback Is The Best Thing You’ll See All Day

This is how you remind me of what I really am...

In just a few short days, the hilarious Deadpool 2 is returning to theaters just in time for Christmas, but it comes with a catch. The R-rated film is getting a PG-13 cut for all the kids out there, and it’s contributing to an amazing cause! One dollar of every ticket sold in the United States will be donated to Fudge Cancer. But if you’re worried that a PG-13 Deadpool isn’t for you, don’t worry. Once Upon A Deadpool seems to be adding some new components to it, featuring the one and only Fred Savage. You may recognize him as the grandson in The Princess Bride!

In Once Upon A Deadpool (or at least, the adverts), Savage is tied to a bed, in the bedroom from The Princess Bride, while Deadpool himself tells him the story of Deadpool 2. And man, are there some zingers in there. Deadpool doesn’t keep much off limits when it comes to jokes. In fact, there are really only two things he can’t stand to see made fun of: Canada and Nickelback.

In the latest advert for Once Upon A Deadpool, Reynolds’ Deadpool spends about 60 seconds defending the rock band, listing every nomination and award they’ve ever received, proving that it isn’t cool to hate on them. And by the end, both Savage and Reynolds are performing a duet of one of the band’s classic songs. It’s equally hilarious and awesome. As Deadpool/Ryan Reynolds himself would put it, Respect the Back.
