Kevin Hart Will Host The Oscars In 2019

The hilarious comedian has confirmed he will be hosting the 91st Academy Awards.

In the last few years, the Oscars have lost their touch, and in turn, their views. Ratings are dropping more and more with each passing year, and there’s really no question as to why. The Academy Awards have been accused on more than one occasion of lacking diversity. Almost every year, the majority of the awards go to one or two films, leaving the rest to the wayside. It feels less like a celebration of film and more like an elitist club. And people are definitely tired of it.

But no one wants to see the Oscars go down. We simply want change, and so does the Academy. And choosing a host is a sure way to either bring viewers in or chase them away. And we have a feeling that the 2019 Academy Awards are going to be a hit with the host they just nabbed; none other than the hilarious Kevin Hart.

Hart confirmed on Tuesday night that he would be hosting the 91st Academy Awards, and he feels truly honored. He posted a photo of the iconic statue with an incredibly heartfelt caption, calling it the ‘opportunity of a lifetime’ and promising that he plans to rise to the occasion. The comedian is hilarious both in his films and on stage, so we can’t wait to see what he brings to the Awards Ceremony. He could be the one to bring the Oscars back.

The 91st Academy Awards Will Air On February 24th.
