The Final Season Of ‘Game Of Thrones’ Announces Its Release Date In Its First Teaser

The eighth and final season will air sometime in April of next year.

We have gone almost a full calendar year without a season of Game of Thrones, and I’m not going to lie, it’s been rough for all of us. But it turns out we won’t have to wait as long for the final season as we thought! As of early Tuesday morning, HBO released both a teaser video and a premiere date…of sorts.

The eighth and final season of our favourite fantasy show is confirmed to return sometime in April 2019, and though we don’t know the exact date yet, we couldn’t be more excited. Especially considering many thought the series wouldn’t return until the summer months of next year! Season 8 has been promised to be the biggest, most epic season yet. Everything that has been built up for the last 7 seasons is finally coming to a climax. We will see who ascends the Iron Throne (if anyone). We will see the White Walkers cross the wall and enter into Westeros. We will see Daenerys meeting the rest of House Stark and no doubt we will see Cersei finally fall. And let’s not forget about the Prince/Princess That Was Promised! We here at Fiction’s Mistress are hoping it’s Jaime Lannister, who recently left his deranged sister for good, but that’s just us.

The teaser video says it best. Every battle. Every betrayal. Every risk. Every fight. Every sacrifice. Every death. All #ForTheThrone. Who will win? Who will die? We have half a year until we find out! And we can’t wait.

Game Of Thrones Returns In April 2019.
