Trailer Watch: The First Thrilling Trailer For Netflix’s ‘Bird Box’ Is Here

You can't trust what you see in Netflix's newest horror film.

Netflix is at it again. From Apostle to The Haunting of Hill House, our favorite streaming platform has been all about spooking its viewers lately. Maybe it’s because Halloween is right around the corner, or maybe it’s because they’re just plain good at it. But one thing’s for sure. Bird Box looks absolutely terrifying.

The film promises to do what any good horror flick should: make us question our worst fears. The world has been overrun by entities beyond our comprehension. No one knows what they are, where they came from, or what they even truly look like. For when you see them, they take the form of your worst fear. And it’s real enough to make people kill themselves at just the sight alone.

Malorie, played by the incredible Sandra Bullock, finds herself on the run from these creatures with her two children, who must journey through treacherous forests and rivers to find the one place left that may hold sanctuary. But here’s the catch: they must make the trip blindfolded. They can’t risk seeing the monsters.

The film reunites Bullock and Sarah Paulson onscreen, and also stars Trevante Rhodes and John Malkovich. And for any fans of The Night Manager, starring Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie, you’ll be delighted to know that its director, Susanne Bier, is at the helm of this film. It’s going to be one heck of a thrill-fest.
