Trailer Watch: Claire Foy Is Unrecognizable In ‘The Girl In The Spider’s Web’ Trailer

It's hard to believe this is the same woman that played Queen Elizabeth II!

Award winning actress Claire Foy is best known for her role as Queen Elizabeth II in Netflix’s The Crown, where she plays an elegant woman, but make no mistake, one who takes no crap. But that may be the only thing she has in common with her latest role as Lisbeth Salander in The Girl In The Spider’s Web.

The Girl In The Spider’s Web is based on a book written by David Lagercrantz, which is part of the Millenium series created by Stieg Larsson. Two other actresses have played the lead role of Lisbeth Salander in previous films, Noomi Rapace and Rooney Mara. The latter of which starred alongside Daniel Craig in a film directed by David Fincher. And many fans are still apprehensive about the upcoming film because of this fact, believing they should have stuck with the same director and cast. But whether you’re excited or hesitant about the film, or perhaps a bit of both, it’s hard to deny that Claire Foy is looking amazingly intense in this role. I mean, can we just appreciate the difference in these two looks?

I’m honestly excited to see what Foy does with this role. She’s already a talented actress in her own right, but if she’s able to pull this role off, she will be unstoppable. Count us in!
