Fantastic Beasts Movies Trailer Watch

Nicolas Flamel Makes His First Appearance In New ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald’ Trailer

The name is familiar to all Potter fans, but for the first time EVER, we get to see what he looks like!

Nicolas Flamel. A name that anyone in the Potter fandom will recognize. In the very first book/movie, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the name Flamel comes up multiple times, as it very well should, considering that it was he who, in fact, created the Philosopher’s Stone. The stone had the ability to produce an elixir that would prolong one’s life indefinitely, as long as you continued to drink it. And the alchemist did so for over 600 years, until the stone nearly fell into Voldemort’s hands. The elixir would have brought him back and both the wizarding and non-magical worlds would have suffered terrible consequences. It was after these events that the stone was destroyed, and Flamel’s death followed shortly after.

But this, of course, was in the events of the first of Harry Potter’s first year at Hogwarts. Let’s go back a little, to 1927, when a wizard named Newt Scamander and his no-maj friend, Jacob, met the famed alchemist in the flesh. A great meeting it would be, and one that we get to see a small glimpse of in the newest Fantastic Beasts trailer.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is bringing Potter fans so many exciting things, from epic flashbacks to young Dumbledore, to the powerful evil wizard himself! And now, excitedly, we can add Flamel to the list. This is a character we have heard so much about, but we’ve never gotten to see. This trailer marks a truly historic day for Potter fans everywhere. We can’t wait to see more!
