Fantastic Beasts Movies Trailer Watch

Trailer Watch: The First Trailer For ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald’ Is Here!

The Crimes of Grindelwald may have fewer beasts, but the stakes are definitely higher.

After much anticipation, the first full official trailer for the sequel to Fantastic Beasts, titled The Crimes of Grindelwald, has dropped! And it’s action-packed, to say the least.

The second installment of the magical Fantastic Beasts series seems to have fans equally torn between excitement and hesitation. Though the wizarding world always has a special place in all of our hearts, The Crimes of Grindelwald has seen its fair share of controversy. Namely in the decision to keep Johnny Depp as the title role. Not only do many fans feel that Depp simply doesn’t suit the role, the abuse accusations against him had many fans in an uproar, shocked that the role was not recast. That being said, it comes as no surprise that Grindelwald only made a small appearance near the end of the trailer.

The sequel, set to hit theaters in November of this year, sees the return of Tina, Queenie, and Jacob, fan favourites from the first film. We also will be seeing some familiar scenery, finally returning to Hogwarts for the first time in years. And, of course, it isn’t truly Hogwarts without our favourite Headmaster. The trailer gives us a great glimpse into our young Albus Dumbledore, played by the incomparable Jude Law. With higher stakes, there’s no question that Dumbledore will play a big part in The Crimes of Grindelwald. And fans couldn’t be happier!
